Founder and Chief Consultant
Taylor Allen, Ph.D.
Dr. Allen is a physical chemist with 12 years of combined experience in advanced R&D and manufacturing support across medical devices, materials science, and renewable energy. He applies a cross-disciplinary skill set spanning chemistry, engineering, and data science to drive innovation in product development, manufacturing, and data analytics. As an expert measurement scientist, he provides deep insights into solution and solid-state materials chemistry, chemical characterization, assays, surface science, coatings, process chemistry, data analytics, and more.
Prior to forming IDU Chem Solutions, Dr. Allen delivered high-impact solutions in senior scientist and engineer roles for some of the world’s largest research organizations and biomedical manufacturing (ISO 9001 & 13485) companies. His extensive experience in the full R&D life cycle, as well as formulation/manufacturing process optimization and on-market product support, distinguishes him as a unique technical talent with strong business acumen.
Dr. Allen is an award-winning teacher and industry mentor to students and early-career STEM professionals in the chemical, life science, and semiconductor industries. He brings many years of wisdom and lived experience to his career coaching business, having successfully navigated career advancement, changing fields, and layoffs in his own career.
